Collection Station Recycling Services

The following items can be dropped off at the Collection Station for recycling. (They are not accepted in curbside recycling bins.)

• Used vehicle oil
• Used oil filters
• Vehicle batteries
• Antifreeze
• Corrugated cardboard
• Telephone books

Items that are accepted in curbside recycling bins (see Curbside Recycling page) are also accepted at the Collection Station. There is no charge to Georgetown residential utility customers.  Fees apply to non-residential customers and commercial customers.  Please refer to our Collection Station Rate section.

Household alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, etc.) do not pose a hazard and can be disposed of in regular household trash or taken to Ikea in Round Rock. Other batteries can be collected at the Collection Station for disposal.

Smoke detectors do not pose a hazard and can be disposed of in regular household trash.
