Hours of Operation and Rates
Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) is contracted to operate the public Collection Station located at 250 W.L. Walden Dr.

**Please note that there has been the implementation of a Texas law requiring all in-bound loads coming to the Transfer Station to be secured while being transported.**
Secured loads can be achieved by using ropes or tie-downs and/or placing a tarp that is tied down over the materials to prevent roadside litter. For all unsecured loads there will be a $25 fee assessed at the time of payment at the TDS gatehouse. Please ensure your garbage or brush is secured while being transported to the Transfer Station. Thank you.

Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve- close at noon, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
Collection days slide by one day if a holiday falls on a week day; for example, if your collection day is Thursday, November 28th, Thanksgiving Day, your collection will be made on Friday, and Friday collections will be made on Saturday.
The Collection Station will not take the following: electronic waste, medical waste, liquid paint and/or paint products, bricks and concrete, dead animals, or any waste that is considered hazardous or toxic, such as insecticides or pesticides. To safely dispose of electronic recyclables, the Goodwill Store in Georgetown accepts e-cyclables and they can be reached at (512) 868-9547. Best Buy also provides recycling services for TV’s but at a $25 charge.
For disposal of CFL bulbs, Home Depot has a safe deposit container and Best Buy in Wolf Ranch Shopping Center has a disposal container located in their front entrance. Also, go to earth911.com to find more safe disposal locations.
